- I've been a Hokie fan since I was a kid, when my family used to go see Virginia Tech games in the 1980s. My uncle played on the football team in the 1960s with Coach Beamer and my grandfather was the team orthopedic surgeon for 18 years. I graduated from VT in 1998, and have been a Hokie sports fanatic ever since. I'll try to keep you up to date on all the goings on in the football and basketball seasons. Go Hokies!
